QUESTIONS

  • I’m a beginner, which classes can I attend?
Welcome to our studio! As a beginner the best classes to attend are Mat Foundation, Reformer Foundation or Barre Strong. These classes are slower paced and allow first timers to settle in. We recommend taking advantage of our New Member Intro Offers to try out as many classes as possible. If you are pregnant or injured please contact us so that we can advise whether group classes or privates are suitable for your needs.
  • What do I need to know in order to prepare myself for my first class?
Arrive: 15-minutes early so we can check you in and get you set up. Wear: Light and comfortable exercise gear. Avoid anything heavy that will weigh you down when you sweat. Leggings or shorts and a light top is perfect. Socks for reformer classes. Bring: Water bottle and a full-sized towel to cover your mat for mat and barre classes.
  • Do I need to book?
Yes please! It’s always a good idea to book in advance, as our classes can fill up quickly. You can book on our website under the class tab or download our app by following the link at the top of the website for a simply book and buy process!
  • Ok, one problem, I can’t touch my toes … can I still come along?
Absolutely! Regardless of the class you choose, flexibility is not a prerequisite (although it will be one of the benefits!). If you’re joining Barre for the first time know that you don’t need ANY previous dance training to join class. Come as you are!
  • What are the benefits?
Pilates and Barre is a method of training that encourages mind/body connection, mindful movement and precision. You’ll increase your core strength, improve body awareness, help with injury prevention, improve flexibility and experience an all around stronger happier self.
  • I’m pregnant, what are your recommendations?
Firstly, congratulations! Everybody is different, so we ask that you speak with your health professional to help you decide whether exercise is best for you during this time. Once you have their tick of approval, we’re good to go! The group classes we recommend up to 16 weeks are Mat Foundation, Reformer Foundation and/or Barre Strong. After 16 weeks we suggest you take up private sessions with one of our instructors.
  • What pass is the best value?
If you plan on doing two or more classes per week, our unlimited options are going to be the best value for you. There’s a range of different membership options and class packages available, click here to find out more.
  • Can I put my pass on hold?
Unfortunately no class passes can be put on hold in the instance of busy schedules, holidays or forgetting to book. Medical emergencies and illnesses will be taken into account and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please understand that this accommodation is case dependent.
